Description

An easy, elegant chocolate bark made with rich dark chocolate, toasted pecans, and naturally sweet maple syrup for a crunchy, deeply flavored treat.

Ingredients

  • 300 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup (120 g) pecan halves, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Toast the chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until fragrant. Remove and cool.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Stir in the maple syrup and sea salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even thin layer.
  6. Sprinkle toasted pecans evenly over the chocolate, gently pressing them in.
  7. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until fully set.
  8. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • Toasting pecans enhances their nuttiness and crunch.
  • Add flaky sea salt on top for extra contrast.
  • Let chilled bark sit briefly at room temperature before serving.
