Description
Honey garlic chicken wings are oven-baked until crispy and coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory glaze made with honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Perfect for parties, game day, or a flavorful dinner, these wings are irresistibly addictive.
Ingredients
- 50 chicken wings
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the sauce:
- ½ cup honey
- ⅓ cup water
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat chicken wings completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss wings in flour, salt, and pepper, shaking off excess. Brush lightly with olive oil.
- Line a baking pan with foil and parchment. Arrange wings in a single layer.
- Bake for 35 minutes, flipping at the 20-minute mark.
- While baking, make the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, water, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened and glossy.
- Once wings are crispy, toss them in the sauce. Return to oven for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally so the sauce clings evenly.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
- Patting wings dry is key for crispiness.
- Add sriracha or extra red pepper flakes for more heat.
- Swap honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
- Add orange juice or zest for a citrusy twist.
- Double the sauce if you want extra for drizzling over sides.
