Description

Honey butter skillet corn is a creamy, slightly sweet side dish made with butter, honey, and cream cheese. It’s quick to prepare and pairs well with a variety of main dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 bag (450 g / 16 oz) frozen corn kernels
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Stir in the honey until fully combined.
  3. Add the frozen corn and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Cook for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  5. Add cream cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Continue stirring until the cream cheese melts and coats the corn.
  7. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until smooth and well combined.
  8. Serve warm directly from the skillet.

Notes

  • Add chili flakes or paprika for a spicy kick.
  • Stir in a tablespoon of heavy cream for extra richness.
  • Top with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for freshness.
  • Mix in grated cheddar cheese for a cheesy version.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stove or in short microwave intervals, adding a splash of milk if needed.
