Description
Soft, fluffy pull-apart rolls brushed with a sweet honey butter glaze. These golden rolls are perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or cozy meals at home.
Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
- 1 tsp fine sea salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- ½ cup warm water (110°F)
- ½ cup whole milk, warmed
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- For the glaze:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp whole milk
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, whisk together flour and salt. Add the bloomed yeast mixture, warm milk, melted butter, oil, and honey.
- Mix with a paddle attachment until combined into a shaggy dough. Switch to a dough hook and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1.5–2 hours).
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12–16 equal pieces. Shape into smooth balls and place in a greased baking dish with space between each.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes, until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C). Meanwhile, melt butter with honey and milk to make the glaze.
- Brush half the glaze over the risen rolls. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Brush with remaining glaze while still hot. Let cool slightly before serving.
