Description

A light and creamy homemade frozen yogurt made with Greek and plain yogurt, sweetened with honey and sugar, and flavored with almond extract and sliced almonds. A refreshing, quick dessert perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, plain yogurt, sugar, and honey until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Add the almond extract and sliced almonds, stirring until evenly distributed.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions, until the mixture is frozen and creamy.
  4. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze until firmer.

Notes

  • Use only Greek yogurt for a thicker, tangier result.
  • Adjust sweetness by changing the ratio of honey to sugar or using alternative sweeteners.
  • Stir in additional toppings like chopped nuts, fruit, or chocolate chips before or after churning.
  • Let frozen yogurt sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before scooping after storage.
