Description
A bright, sweet-tart cranberry sauce made with fresh orange juice, honey, and cinnamon—perfect for holiday tables or everyday meals.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, honey, orange zest, and cinnamon. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
- Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely; it will continue to thicken as it cools.
- Transfer to a jar or bowl. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
- Use frozen cranberries if fresh aren’t available—no need to thaw first.
- The sauce sweetens and deepens in flavor after chilling.
- Adjust honey to taste for more or less sweetness.
- For a smoother texture, blend or strain the sauce after cooking.
- Can be served warm or cold depending on your preference.
