Description

A bright, sweet-tart cranberry sauce made with fresh orange juice, honey, and cinnamon—perfect for holiday tables or everyday meals.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, honey, orange zest, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely; it will continue to thicken as it cools.
  5. Transfer to a jar or bowl. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

  • Use frozen cranberries if fresh aren’t available—no need to thaw first.
  • The sauce sweetens and deepens in flavor after chilling.
  • Adjust honey to taste for more or less sweetness.
  • For a smoother texture, blend or strain the sauce after cooking.
  • Can be served warm or cold depending on your preference.
