Ingredients

- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon food-grade glycerin
- 1 teaspoon flavor extract

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt in a saucepan.
- Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Simmer until mixture reaches a thick syrup (115–120°C).
- Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Stir in glycerin, flavor extract, and food coloring.
- Dust a surface with cornstarch and pour mixture onto it.
- Knead until smooth and pliable.
- Shape into small pieces or strips.
- Let rest for 30 minutes before chewing.
Notes
- Use different extracts to customize flavor.
- Add more glycerin for softer gum or less for firmer texture.
- Knead with cornstarch if too sticky.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
- Keep in a cool, dry place to maintain texture.
