Description

Juicy, savory-sweet Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers made with seasoned beef patties, grilled pineapple, red onion, and teriyaki glaze, served on toasted buns. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual cookouts.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds (680 g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) teriyaki sauce, divided
  • 4 pineapple rings (about 1/2 cup or 120 g), fresh or canned
  • 1 small red onion (about 70 g), thinly sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties slightly wider than the buns.
  3. Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium heat and oil if needed.
  4. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side or until desired doneness. During the last minute, brush with remaining teriyaki sauce.
  5. Grill or sear pineapple rings for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly caramelized.
  6. Toast hamburger buns until golden.
  7. Assemble burgers: place patty on bottom bun, top with grilled pineapple and red onion, then add the top bun. Serve warm.
