Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the cinnamon sugar coating:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard 12-cup muffin pan or line it with paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare the coating by mixing sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl and placing melted butter in another bowl.
- Let muffins cool for 5 minutes. Dip each muffin in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
- Cool slightly before serving.
