Description
An elegant seafood dish featuring garlic butter-seared lobster tails and scallops, enhanced with lemon and herbs for a luxurious, restaurant-style meal at home.
Ingredients
- 4 medium lobster tails (about 170 g each)
- 450 g sea scallops, patted dry
- 85 g unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Gently pull the meat over the shell and season with half the salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and half the butter. Let it melt.
- Place lobster tails meat-side down. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, basting with butter, until opaque. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Increase heat to medium-high. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes per side without moving. Season with remaining salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
- Return lobster tails to the skillet. Add lemon juice and zest, spooning garlic butter over seafood.
- Cook together for 1–2 minutes more. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side dish.

- Use sea scallops for best texture and searing results.
- Dry scallops well before cooking for golden crust.
- Add cream to garlic butter for a richer finish if desired.
- Chili flakes are optional for a mild kick.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables to complete the meal.
