Ingredients
- Beef Filling:
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ cup yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- Dough & Topping:
- 2 tubes (8 count each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 4 tablespoons (¼ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned and onion is translucent (8–10 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Place a heaping tablespoon of beef mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up tightly toward the pointed end. Place seam-side down on prepared sheet.
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder. Brush generously over rollups.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. Optionally, brush with more garlic butter in the last 3 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if using. Let cool 1–2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overfill the dough to avoid bursting during baking.
- Use parchment paper for easier cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Brush with extra garlic butter before serving for more flavor.
- Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, garlic aioli, or mustard-mayo blend.
