Ingredients
- 5 oz (142 g) bittersweet or dark chocolate (70% cocoa), coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup (75 g) unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup tahini (for swirl)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch metal pan with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate and butter together over gently simmering water until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in tahini and salt. Cool slightly.
- Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
- Slowly whisk chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined.
- Fold in flour gently just until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Mix tahini, honey, and water until smooth. Dollop over batter and gently swirl.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until set with moist crumbs on a skewer.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing.
