Description
A vibrant and refreshing frozen margarita blending silver tequila with bright pomegranate and fresh lime juice for a perfectly balanced sweet-tart cocktail. Smooth, icy, and festive, it’s ideal for celebrations or warm afternoons.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 small limes, cut into wedges
- 3 cups ice (plus more as needed)
- 2 ounces silver tequila (blanco or white tequila)
- 1 cup 100% pomegranate juice
- 2 ounces fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce agave syrup (optional)
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate arils (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Spread kosher salt onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip into the salt to coat. Set aside.
- Add ice, tequila, pomegranate juice, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup (if using) to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on high until smooth and slushy. Add extra ice if needed for a thicker texture.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if desired.
- Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with pomegranate arils if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use 100% pure pomegranate juice for best flavor.
- Fresh lime juice is strongly recommended for brightness.
- For a sweeter rim, substitute sugar for salt.
- Store leftovers in the freezer up to 1 day and re-blend before serving.
- For a mocktail version, omit tequila and add sparkling water or extra juice.
