Description

French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a quick, handheld version of the classic French dip sandwich. Featuring tender roast beef, melted cheese, and crispy tortillas, they’re perfect for easy dinners, snacks, or party appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Lay tortillas flat and divide roast beef evenly among them. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the beef.
  3. Roll each tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides burrito-style. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet or greased skillet.
  4. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Brush over the tops of the roll ups.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes (or cook in skillet for 3–4 minutes per side) until golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Warm the beef broth in a small saucepan for dipping. Slice roll ups in half if desired and serve warm with the broth.

Notes

  • Add sautéed onions, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Use Italian seasoning or oregano for a flavor boost.
  • For a crispier texture, cook entirely in a skillet or air fryer.
  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  • Freeze before cooking for up to 1 month. Thaw before baking.
