Description
French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a quick, handheld version of the classic French dip sandwich. Featuring tender roast beef, melted cheese, and crispy tortillas, they’re perfect for easy dinners, snacks, or party appetizers.
Ingredients
- 8 large flour tortillas
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Lay tortillas flat and divide roast beef evenly among them. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the beef.
- Roll each tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides burrito-style. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet or greased skillet.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Brush over the tops of the roll ups.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes (or cook in skillet for 3–4 minutes per side) until golden and cheese is melted.
- Warm the beef broth in a small saucepan for dipping. Slice roll ups in half if desired and serve warm with the broth.
Notes
- Add sautéed onions, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use Italian seasoning or oregano for a flavor boost.
- For a crispier texture, cook entirely in a skillet or air fryer.
- Assemble ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook.
- Freeze before cooking for up to 1 month. Thaw before baking.
