Ingredients
- 250 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 150 ml warm water
- Extra flour for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add olive oil and gradually mix in warm water until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5–8 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide into 6 portions and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a thin round about 15–18 cm wide.
- Heat a dry pan over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
- Stack and cover with a cloth to keep warm.

- Add herbs or spices for extra flavor.
- Substitute some water with yogurt for a softer texture.
- Use whole wheat flour for a denser, healthier option.
- Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for 5 days.
