Description
A quick, flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired wrap featuring crispy falafel, fresh vegetables, and creamy tahini sauce, all rolled in soft shrak or tortilla bread—ready in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
1 shrak or tortilla
7 falafels
2 tbsp tahini sauce
½ cucumber, thinly sliced
½ tomato, thinly sliced
¼ onion, thinly sliced
A handful of mint leaves
¼ lemon, thinly sliced
1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
Tahini Sauce:
4 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup tahini
½ tsp salt
4–6 tbsp water (adjust for consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the tahini sauce by mixing minced garlic, lemon juice, tahini, salt, and water until smooth.
- Spread 2 tbsp of the tahini sauce evenly over the shrak or tortilla.
- Mash the falafel balls into the sauce layer to help them stick.
- Add cucumber, tomato, onion, mint leaves, and lemon slices over the falafel.
- Drizzle with hot sauce if using.
- Roll the wrap burrito-style, folding tightly to secure.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For a different texture, use pita, lavash, or laffa bread.
- Add pickled vegetables or tabbouleh for extra crunch and freshness.
- Swap or mix sauces—hummus, tzatziki, or garlicky yogurt sauce work well.
- Keep ingredients separate until ready to assemble for maximum freshness.
