Description

Easy Korean Strawberry Milk is a vibrant and refreshing drink made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and whole milk. A sweet strawberry puree is swirled into cold milk for a creamy, fruity treat that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed, dried, stems removed, and roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar (white, raw/turbinado, or brown)
  • 32 oz whole milk
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, dry, and roughly chop the strawberries after removing the stems.
  2. In a nonstick or stainless-steel skillet over medium heat, add the strawberries and sugar. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture becomes syrupy and thick with softened strawberries.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer the puree to a container. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and thicken.
  5. To serve, spoon strawberry puree into a glass and swirl extra puree along the inside of the glass for visual effect.
  6. Add ice cubes if desired, then pour cold whole milk over the puree.
  7. Stir with a straw and enjoy immediately.
  8. Store leftover strawberry puree in the fridge for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use honey or maple syrup instead of sugar for a different flavor.
  • Add a splash of vanilla extract to enhance the strawberry flavor.
  • Try plant-based milks like oat, almond, or soy for a dairy-free version.
  • Blend the puree smooth if you prefer a chunk-free drink.
  • Stir in a bit of cream for a richer, more indulgent version.
