Description

This easy homemade herb and garlic cream cheese is rich, creamy, and packed with aromatic flavor from fresh garlic and herbs. Perfect for spreading on bagels, crackers, toast, or as a flavorful base for appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (approximately 440 g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, pressed or very finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried or fresh chopped thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the minced or pressed garlic, thyme, basil, parsley, and a light seasoning of salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Whip the mixture by hand using a whisk or spatula, or blend with a hand mixer on low speed until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled on toast, bagels, crackers, or add it to your favorite appetizers.

Notes

  • Let the cream cheese fully soften for smoothest mixing.
  • Chilling deepens the flavor and helps the garlic mellow.
  • Use fresh herbs instead of dried for a more vibrant taste.
  • Can be made ahead and stored for up to 2 weeks.
