Description
Easy Granola Clusters are crunchy, golden-baked chunks made with oats, nuts, seeds, and coconut, naturally sweetened with maple syrup. Perfect for snacking, topping yogurt, or gifting, these clusters hold their shape and deliver satisfying texture in every bite.
Ingredients
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ⅓ cup coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- ¾ cup sliced or slivered almonds
- ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup raw sunflower seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, coconut oil, sea salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Warm until coconut oil melts and ingredients are blended (do not boil).
- In a large bowl, mix oats, almonds, coconut flakes, pecans, and sunflower seeds.
- Pour the warm syrup mixture over dry ingredients and stir until evenly coated.
- Spread mixture on the baking sheet and press it down firmly into an even layer using a spatula or your hands.
- Bake for 25 minutes. Rotate the pan and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely on the pan to set and crisp.
- Once cooled, break into clusters and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use honey instead of maple syrup if preferred.
- Swap in different nuts like walnuts, cashews, or pistachios (keep total nut amount ~2 cups).
- Add dried fruit or chocolate chips after cooling for extra flavor.
- To keep it coconut-free, omit the flakes and replace with extra oats or nuts.
- Let cool fully before breaking to ensure big, crunchy clusters.
