Description
These handheld Chicken Parmesan Crescent Cups are filled with saucy chicken, gooey mozzarella, and buttery crescent dough. Quick, cheesy, and perfect for family dinners, snacks, or party appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1 can (8 oz / 226 g) crescent roll dough sheet
- 1½ cups (170 g) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 3 fully cooked fried chicken tenders (about 9 oz / 255 g total)
- ½ cup (120 ml) marinara sauce, plus extra for dipping
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease 8 cups of a standard muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Unroll crescent dough and cut into 8 equal squares. Press each square into a muffin cup, covering the bottom and sides.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella evenly into the bottom of each dough cup.
- Cut chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces. Coat lightly with marinara sauce and divide evenly into dough cups.
- Top each cup with remaining ½ cup mozzarella.
- Fold corners of dough slightly over the filling (do not seal fully).
- Bake for 14–16 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool 2 minutes, then remove from pan. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with extra marinara if desired.
Notes
- Use baked chicken instead of fried for a lighter version.
- Add a sprinkle of Parmesan before baking for more flavor.
- Optional: include sautéed veggies like mushrooms or bell peppers in the filling.
