Description
These Easy Avocado Chocolate Truffles are rich, creamy, and secretly healthy — made with ripe avocado, dark chocolate, and a touch of sweetener. A decadent no-bake treat that’s naturally dairy-free and customizable with your favorite coatings.
Ingredients
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate (about 100 g)
- 1 cup mashed avocado (from 2 small or 1 large ripe avocado)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons cacao powder
- 4 to 6 tablespoons powdered sugar (or 3 tablespoons powdered monk fruit sweetener)
Instructions
- Mash avocado thoroughly until completely smooth (use a fork, food processor, or stick blender).
- Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Or use a double boiler.
- Combine the melted chocolate with mashed avocado and stir until fully incorporated.
- Add vanilla and powdered sweetener. Mix well.
- Fold in cacao powder until mixture is uniform and thick.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once firm, scoop and roll into 1–2 tablespoon-sized balls.
- Roll truffles in desired coatings (e.g., cocoa powder, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, freeze-dried fruit).
- Let sit a few minutes to firm further before serving.
Notes
- Use vegan dark chocolate and monk fruit sweetener to keep it dairy-free and refined sugar-free.
- If mixture is too soft to roll, chill longer or scoop into a shallow dish to firm faster.
- Add espresso powder, citrus zest, peppermint extract, or sea salt to the mixture for variations.
- Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
