Description

Crunchy Beef Cheese Wraps are golden, crispy flour tortillas filled with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and savory spices. Baked to perfection, these wraps are a delicious, mess-free alternative to fried crunch wraps—perfect for quick dinners, lunches, or game-day snacks.

Ingredients

  • For the Beef Filling:
  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
  • ½ cup finely diced yellow onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade blend)
  • ½ cup water
  • For the Wraps:
  • 6 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter or neutral oil (for brushing)
  • Optional for Serving:
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa or hot sauce
  • Fresh chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with oil.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Add diced onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning and water; simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix in shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until melted and combined.
  6. Warm tortillas to make them pliable. Place about ½ cup of filling in the center of each tortilla.
  7. Fold the sides inward, then roll up tightly to form a wrap, keeping the seam side down.
  8. Brush each wrap with melted butter or oil and arrange on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  10. Serve hot with sour cream, salsa, cilantro, or lime wedges as desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add cream cheese to the beef for extra creaminess.
  • Brush wraps generously with butter or oil for maximum crunch.
  • Freeze unbaked wraps for up to 3 months; bake directly from frozen, adding 5 minutes to the time.
  • Reheat in an air fryer or oven for best crispiness—avoid microwaving.
