Description

A rich and smooth slow-cooked apple butter made with warm spices, delivering a deep caramelized flavor perfect for spreading or baking.


Ingredients

  • 6 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place sliced apples in the crockpot.
  2. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours until apples are soft.
  4. Blend the mixture using an immersion blender until smooth.
  5. Leave lid slightly open and cook for another 1–2 hours to thicken.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Allow to cool before transferring to jars.
