Description

Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a creamy, comforting slow cooker meal made with tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich, savory sauce and served over angel hair pasta. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or casual family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about to 2 pounds)
  • 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • Optional: 1/2 cup toasted buttery breadcrumbs
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until mostly smooth.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the chicken, making sure all pieces are well covered.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crock pot and stir into the sauce until combined.
  6. Serve the creamy chicken mixture over hot, cooked angel hair pasta.
  7. Top with toasted buttery breadcrumbs and chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • Add sliced mushrooms or chopped onions for extra flavor.
  • Stir in fresh spinach at the end for color and freshness.
  • Use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium broth for a lighter version.
  • Serve over rice or mashed potatoes instead of pasta.
  • Reheat gently and loosen sauce with broth or milk if needed.
