Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ to 2 pounds)
- 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
- Optional: 1/2 cup toasted buttery breadcrumbs
- Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until mostly smooth.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the chicken, making sure all pieces are well covered.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crock pot and stir into the sauce until combined.
- Serve the creamy chicken mixture over hot, cooked angel hair pasta.
- Top with toasted buttery breadcrumbs and chopped parsley, if desired.
