Ingredients
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 120 g turkey, finely chopped
- 200 g cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons water
- vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, chopped turkey, green onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
- In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with water to create an egg wash.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and add about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center.
- Brush edges with egg wash, fold into a triangle or bring corners together to form a pouch, and seal firmly.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling, keeping finished wontons covered with a damp towel.
- Heat about 5 cm of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 175°C.
- Fry wontons in batches for 2 to 3 minutes, turning as needed, until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your preferred dipping sauce.
