Description

Ingredients

  • 2 (9-ounce) packages refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large deep skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste, tomato sauce, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth and combined.
  3. Add the refrigerated tortellini to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Check for doneness. If needed, cook another 2–3 minutes, adding a splash of cream or broth if sauce is too thick.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
