Description
These Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails feature tender, oven-baked lobster meat smothered in a rich, garlicky butter and cream sauce with a touch of lemon. A luxurious dish perfect for special occasions or indulgent dinners.
Ingredients
- 2–4 lobster tails (6–8 oz / 170–225 g each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Lobster Tails: Use kitchen scissors to cut the top shell lengthwise. Gently lift the meat over the shell, leaving it attached at the base.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in cream, lemon juice, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Bake the Lobster: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place lobster tails on a baking sheet and brush generously with the garlic butter sauce. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until meat is opaque and slightly firm.
- Finish and Serve: Drizzle remaining sauce over lobster. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Add chili flakes or cayenne for heat.
- Substitute herbs like thyme or dill for different flavor profiles.
- Add Parmesan to the sauce for a cheesy twist.
- Grill instead of bake for a smoky flavor.
- Omit cream for a classic garlic butter version.
