Description

A creamy and spicy fusion ramen dish combining Korean Buldak carbonara noodles with a rich, velvety sauce made from egg, milk, cheese, and savory bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Buldak Carbonara ramen noodles
  • 1 slice havarti cheese (about 30 g)
  • 4 slices turkey bacon or beef bacon, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg, whisked
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (120 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 cups water (for boiling noodles)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil and cook ramen noodles for 4–5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside, reserving seasoning packets.
  2. In the same pan, cook chopped turkey or beef bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir gently.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and ramen seasoning packets, mixing well.
  6. Reduce heat to low and slowly pour in the whisked egg while stirring continuously to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Stir in black pepper.
  8. Place the havarti cheese on top, cover, and let it melt for about 2 minutes.
  9. Once creamy and fully combined, remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use less of the spice packet for a milder dish.
  • Stir continuously when adding egg to prevent scrambling.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
  • Substitute havarti with mozzarella or cheddar if preferred.
  • Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored up to 2 days.
  • Avoid overheating when reheating to keep sauce smooth.
