Description

A quick and irresistible breakfast treat that combines the warm spice of cinnamon rolls with the custardy crispiness of French toast. Perfect for brunches, holidays, or fun weekday mornings!


Ingredients

  • 1 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing packet)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (for cooking)
  • Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar in egg mixture

Instructions

  1. Open the cinnamon roll can and cut each roll into 4–6 bite-sized pieces. Set icing aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon (and optional maple syrup or brown sugar).
  3. Gently toss cinnamon roll pieces in the egg mixture to coat.
  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
  5. Cook coated bites in a single layer, turning until all sides are golden brown and cooked through (2–3 minutes per side).
  6. Warm icing packet in the microwave for 10–15 seconds, then drizzle over bites.
  7. Serve warm with optional powdered sugar, syrup, or berries.

Notes

  • Use nonstick skillet or griddle for best results.
  • Let bites soak briefly in the batter — too long may make them soggy.
