Ingredients
- 1 apple, peeled and finely chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 tube (8 oz / 226 g) crescent roll dough sheet
- 3 tablespoons (42 g) unsalted butter, melted and divided
- 1/3 cup (67 g) brown and white sugar blend
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Glaze:
- 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease 8 muffin cups.
- Unroll crescent dough onto parchment paper and pinch seams to form a solid sheet if needed.
- Brush 2 tablespoons melted butter evenly over the dough.
- Mix sugar blend and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over buttered dough.
- Roll tightly from the long edge into a log. Slice into 8 equal pieces (about 1½ inches thick).
- Place rolls into prepared muffin pan. Brush tops with remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter.
- Evenly distribute chopped apples over each roll, gently pressing them into the dough.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and maple syrup until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best texture.
- Roll dough tightly to prevent unraveling during baking.
- Press apples gently to help them adhere to the dough.
- For thicker glaze, reduce milk slightly.
- Best enjoyed warm for optimal flavor and texture.
