Description
These no-bake chocolate mint truffles are rich, creamy, and refreshingly minty — made with butter, cream cheese, and mini chocolate chips. Easy to customize and perfect for holidays or gatherings.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup full-fat cream cheese
- 1½ teaspoons mint extract
- Green food coloring (optional)
- 4½ cups powdered sugar
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, mint extract, and green food coloring (if using). Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth and thick.
- Stir in mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours until firm enough to roll.
- Scoop small portions and roll into balls using your hands or a small cookie scoop.
- (Optional) Roll truffles in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or dip in melted chocolate.
- Let set at room temperature or chill again before serving.
Notes
- Use mini chocolate chips for easier rolling and even distribution.
- Green food coloring is optional and purely decorative.
- Chill the mixture well to ensure it’s firm enough to roll into balls.
- Try coating in cocoa, powdered sugar, or crushed cookies instead of dipping.
- Swap mint extract with other flavors (e.g. orange or almond) for variation.
