Chocolate Hazelnut Mocha is a cozy, indulgent coffee drink combining rich chocolate, nutty hazelnut, and smooth coffee. With frothy milk and optional garnishes, it’s a café-style treat you can easily make at home.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp NESCAFÉ® Gold instant coffee
- 30 ml hot water (approx. 80ºC)
- 120 ml skim milk
- 1 tsp chocolate syrup
- 1 tsp hazelnut syrup
- Optional garnish: crushed hazelnuts or chocolate shavings
Instructions
- In a 200 ml mug, dissolve the instant coffee in 30 ml hot water.
- Stir in the chocolate syrup until smooth.
- Add the hazelnut syrup and stir to combine.
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan until warm.
- Froth the milk using a milk frother, whisk, or by shaking it in a jar.
- Pour the frothed milk over the coffee mixture.
- Garnish with crushed hazelnuts or chocolate shavings, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
- Whole milk or a splash of cream adds extra richness.
- For an iced version, cool the coffee base and pour over ice with cold frothed milk.
- Caramel syrup can be added for extra sweetness.
- Make the coffee base in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 1 day.
