Golden, fluffy biscuit bites stuffed with gooey melted mozzarella and brushed with garlic herb butter. These quick and comforting bites are perfect for parties, snacks, or an easy family treat.
Ingredients
- For the biscuit base:
- 1 can (16.3 oz / 462 g) refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- For the filling:
- 8 oz (226 g) fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 cubes (about 1 oz each)
- For the garlic butter coating:
- 4 tablespoons (57 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- For topping:
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- For serving (optional):
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch round using your hands or the bottom of a glass.
- Place one cube of mozzarella in the center of each round. Fold dough around cheese, pinch seams tightly to seal, and roll into a smooth ball.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and salt.
- Brush each dough ball generously with the garlic butter mixture and place seam-side down on the baking tray, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan evenly over the tops.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until deep golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Let rest for 3–5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce if desired.
Notes
- Seal dough tightly to prevent cheese leakage.
- Cubes of mozzarella melt better than shredded cheese.
- Bake on center rack for even browning.
- Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours.
- Freeze unbaked stuffed balls for up to 3 months.
