Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced into thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Slice bananas into even 1/2 inch rounds.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and honey or maple syrup, stirring until smooth and bubbling.
- Add cinnamon and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
- Place banana slices in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes without stirring.
- Flip gently and cook another 1–2 minutes until caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve warm with extra caramel sauce.
