Description

Crispy, oven-baked Cajun potato wedges seasoned with bold spices and garlic. These flavorful wedges are the perfect healthier alternative to fries and make a great side for burgers, sandwiches, or dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 4 baking potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Cut each potato into 12 wedges and place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they don’t touch.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, flip each wedge, then bake for another 25–30 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle with cheddar or Parmesan cheese immediately after baking to melt on top.

Notes

  • Add cayenne or chili powder for spicier wedges.
  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for a creamier texture.
  • Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 18–22 minutes for quicker cooking.
  • Squeeze lemon juice on top after baking for brightness.
  • Serve with dips like garlic mayo, ranch, or spicy ketchup.
