Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (440 g)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (7 g)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (3 g)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C) (180 ml)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (60 g)
  • 1 large egg
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 cup blueberry jam or compote (160 g)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed (50 g)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (4 g)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (150 g)
  • Vanilla Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (120 g)
  • 23 tablespoons milk or cream (3045 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (2.5 ml)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix until soft dough forms. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
  6. Spread blueberry jam evenly. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon. Scatter blueberries.
  7. Roll tightly from long side into a log and cut into 9–12 rolls.
  8. Place in greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and rise 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake 22–25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
