Description
Blue Christmas Truffles are festive no-bake treats featuring a creamy vanilla center coated in white chocolate and topped with blue sprinkles or glitter. Their vibrant blue hue and melt-in-your-mouth texture make them perfect for holiday platters, gift boxes, and celebrations.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Blue gel food coloring (to desired shade)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or white candy melts
- 2 tablespoons edible blue sprinkles, sanding sugar, or edible glitter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add crushed wafers or graham crackers, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Add blue gel food coloring a few drops at a time until desired color is reached.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
- Melt white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip chilled truffles into melted chocolate, let excess drip off, then place back on parchment paper.
- While coating is still wet, decorate with blue sprinkles or edible glitter.
- Let set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until chocolate hardens.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring to avoid thinning the mixture.
- If the dough is too soft, chill before rolling.
- For a shortcut, roll uncoated truffles in powdered or sanding sugar.
- Decorate immediately after dipping to ensure toppings stick.
