Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease or line a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter.
- Stir in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Add vanilla extract and milk, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
- Avoid overmixing to keep the bread soft.
- Add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
- Can be made dairy-free by substituting butter and milk.
