Description

A rich and creamy chocolate mousse made with ripe avocados, naturally sweetened and blended to silky perfection. A quick, no-cook dessert that feels indulgent yet light.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 2 cups flesh)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Scoop the avocado flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  5. If using chocolate chips, melt them gently and blend into the mixture.
  6. Spoon into serving dishes and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add nut butter for a richer, nutty flavor.
  • Use plant-based milk to keep it dairy-free.
  • Add espresso powder or cinnamon to deepen flavor.
  • Store with plastic wrap pressed on the surface to prevent browning.
  • Best enjoyed within 2 days for freshness.
