Description

These healthy apple pie scones are soft, lightly sweet, and made with just 5 ingredients. Free from oil and full of warm cinnamon-apple flavor, they’re an easy, wholesome treat for breakfast or snack time.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup finely diced apple, peeled

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir to mix.
  3. Add the applesauce and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Fold in diced apple until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer dough to the prepared baking sheet and shape into a round disc about 2.5 cm thick.
  6. Score the disc into 8 wedges with a sharp knife, without fully cutting through.
  7. Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden and firm to the touch.
  8. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before separating and serving.
