Ingredients
- 2 sirloin steaks, about 225 g (8 oz) each, 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon steak rub
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Remove steaks from the fridge 10 minutes before cooking.
- Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
- Brush steaks with olive oil on all sides.
- Season with salt and coat evenly with steak rub, pressing gently so it adheres.
- Place steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 200°C / 400°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Add a pat of halal garlic butter while the steaks rest for extra flavor.
- Sprinkle dried rosemary or thyme for an herby twist.
- Use avocado oil instead of olive oil for a lighter variation.
