Description

This air fryer sirloin steak recipe delivers juicy, tender steak with a flavorful crust in under 15 minutes. With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, it’s perfect for an easy, satisfying dinner without the need for a grill or stovetop.

Ingredients

  • 2 sirloin steaks, about 225 g (8 oz) each, 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon steak rub
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove steaks from the fridge 10 minutes before cooking.
  2. Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
  3. Brush steaks with olive oil on all sides.
  4. Season with salt and coat evenly with steak rub, pressing gently so it adheres.
  5. Place steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook at 200°C / 400°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add a pat of halal garlic butter while the steaks rest for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle dried rosemary or thyme for an herby twist.
  • Use avocado oil instead of olive oil for a lighter variation.
  • Add cayenne or chili powder for a spicy kick.
