Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (150 g) rolled oats (old-fashioned)
- 1/2 cup (120 g) unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup (60 g) fruit jam or preserves (no added oil)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix rolled oats and applesauce until fully combined. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Form dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized balls and place on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly with your fingers.
- Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie with your thumb or a spoon. Fill with about 1 teaspoon of jam.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use mashed banana instead of applesauce for a different flavor.
- Try different jam flavors like raspberry, blueberry, or apricot.
- Add cinnamon or vanilla for extra depth.
- For added texture, swap 1/4 cup oats for chopped nuts or seeds.
