This 3-Ingredient Chocolate Protein Mug Cake is a quick, flourless, high-protein dessert made in minutes using just protein powder, egg, and cocoa powder. Rich, moist, and chocolatey, it’s the perfect single-serving treat.
Ingredients
- 1 scoop (30 g) chocolate protein powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon (16 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Lightly grease an 8–10 oz microwave-safe mug with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- Add protein powder, egg, and cocoa powder to the mug.
- Stir thoroughly until completely smooth and no dry powder remains.
- Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds, checking at 60 seconds. The top should look set but slightly soft in the center.
- Let rest for 1–2 minutes before eating to allow it to finish setting.
Notes
- Do not overcook to avoid a rubbery texture.
- Whey protein gives the best texture; plant-based may be denser.
