Description

These 3 Ingredient BBQ Little Smokies are a quick and flavorful appetizer made with smoky sausages coated in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. Perfect for parties or casual gatherings, they are simple to prepare and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 500 g little smoked sausages (halal beef or chicken sausages)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the little smoked sausages into a medium saucepan or slow cooker.
  2. Add barbecue sauce and brown sugar over the sausages.
  3. Stir until sausages are evenly coated.
  4. Cook on the stovetop over medium-low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and sauce thickens.
  5. Alternatively, cook in a slow cooker on low for 2–3 hours or on high for 1–2 hours.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks or on their own.

Notes

  • Add chili sauce or hot sauce for a spicy variation.
  • Substitute brown sugar with honey for a different sweetness.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce for deeper flavor.
  • Use mustard-based barbecue sauce for a tangy twist.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat gently and add a splash of water if sauce thickens too much.
